Who circumcised the cookie monster? - 2004-01-12 - 9:45 p.m.

Lately I've been worrying. About my health. I'm really skinny, but I'm starting to get a gut somehow. I get sick too often. At 1 in the morning last night (or technically, morning) I woke up and started coughing phlegm into my closet. For half an hour.

I ran out of Accutane, so my body is doing this fucked up thing where it's yelling at me and asking me why I'm not taking it anymore. So my head itches, even though it has no reason to. And I'm getting zits everywhere again.

On to better news. I'm getting a ferret soon. A guy I work with told me about a friend of his who works at a ferret shelter. At a pet shop I can get a ferret for 250 bucks and then pay extras to get it neutered or spayed, and de-scented and vaccinated and all that other shit. Which is expensive.

At the shelter it's about 100 bucks for the ferret, and it has already had its shots and been spayed or neutered. The only thing is the de-scenting, that I must pay for.

So I'm like, whoa. I'm getting one. Soon. Work is going pretty good. Passes by fast, and isn't too hard anymore.

I'm going to get a genital piercing soon. It's my birthday present to myself, since no one got me anything, really. Apart from my girlfriend, she got me a watch, which I really appreciate since my old watch was fucking up so much.

First the septum dermal punch, then the genital piercing. In that order.

I'm scared. I am almost always in a constant state of fear. Not because of the piercings, of course. Because of what I've gotten into, and how different this is compared to what I thought it would be.

I keep thinking about what would happen if I got my arms or legs broken. I wouldn't be able to work, and I don't have insurance. I'd lose all my money and either move back to Quebec or die.

I don't know why, but I just can't stop thinking about that. I swear, it's not the piercings.
